It can be washed in a home washing machine without an agitator, depending on the size. Any rug size 5 ft. x 7 ft. 6 in. or smaller, including all runners, can fit into a washing machine that ft. s 3.4 cu. ft. or bigger; 6 ft. x 9 ft. rugs require a washer that ft. s 4.2 cu. ft. or bigger; 7 ft. 6 in. x 9 ft. 6 in. rugs require a washer that ft. s 4.8 cu. ft. or bigger; 9 ft. x 12 ft. rugs must be washed in a commercial washer with at least a 60 lbs. capacity. Wash in cold water, delicate cycle, with mild detergent, and no bleach; hang dry or lay flat to dry.
